The fine for those who do not respect the national curfew

Across Italy, the national curfew starts from November 6, this means that no one can leave the house if it is not for proven reasons that are written in the Ministry’s self-certification.

You can go to the pharmacy, proven work needs and to solve urgent problems that cannot be postponed until the next day. Otherwise, those who leave for no reason could incur fine from 400 euros to 1000 euros, which can increase up to a third in case of relapse.

What are the reasons to quit smoking?

The cases in which it is allowed to leave during the curfew and move within the national territory without risk of a fine are those provided for in the self-certification form of the Ministry of the Interior and in the latest DPCM in force:

  • proven business needs
  • greeting
  • other reasons allowed by current regulations or by the decrees, ordinances and other measures mentioned above that define the measures to prevent the spread of infection (specify the reason that determines the move)

Fine for traveling outside the municipality of residence

New limits for travel between municipalities. Those who live in the regions of the yellow zone can move between municipalities and provinces even without reason and without self-certification. However, you cannot go to another municipality after 10 pm, when the curfew is in effect, unless you have valid reasons.

Things change for those who live in the orange and red zone: go to a municipality other than the one you live in I need a reason work, health, need or urgency.

The penalties provided by national regulations are even more severe for those who leave their home despite being subjected to quarantine or home isolation. In these cases, in fact, the the prohibition to go out is absolute and you cannot leave your home even if there are the reasons provided for by self-certification, such as health, work and need.

For this violation, you risk being penalized orarrest up to 18 months and the fine of up to 5,000 euros at best and, in the worst case, the accusation of Negligent crime against public health (Article 452 of the Penal Code).
