There are 34,505 new positives for coronavirus as of 5 pm on Thursday, November 5, bringing the total, since the beginning of the pandemic, to 824,879 (+ 4.36%). The deaths, in the last 24 hours, were 445, totaling 40,192 units from February to this part (+ 1.07%). The positives currently counted in Italy are 472,348 (+ 6.56%) and of these 23,256 hospitalized with symptoms (+1,140 or + 5.15%) and 2,391 in intensive care (+99 or + 4.31%). People subjected to home isolation are 446,701 (+ 6.65%). 4,961 were discharged and cured in 24 hours, that is, + 1.61% day by day. This is the table that emerges after the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, prepared from 219,884 swabs made compared to 211,821 the day before.

Lombardy, Campania and Veneto at the top of the ranking of infections

Lombardy remains the first region for the number of new cases with up to 8,822 infections recorded in 24 hours. Followed by Campania (3,888), Veneto (3,264) and Piedmont (3,171) immediately ahead of Lazio (2,735), Tuscany (2,273) and Emilia Romagna (2,180). In intermediate position Siclia (1,322), Liguria (1,208) and Trentino Alto Adige (1,082), then Puglia (850), Umbria (768), Marche (698), Abruzzo (571), Sardinia (413), Calabria (358) , Basilicata (135), Valle d’Aosta (114) and Molise (107).

Veneto, new record: 3,264 cases

Another record of Covid infections in a single day in Veneto: in the latest regional bulletin there are 3,264 new positive cases in 24 hours, for a total of 68,795 infected since the start of the epidemic. There was also a worrying increase in the number of victims, 38 more than on Wednesday. The total of deaths (between hospitals and nursing homes) amounts to 2,516. Finally, the indicators of hospitalizations in non-critical wards increase, 1,274 (+81) and in intensive care, 170 (+15).

Abruzzo, 571 new cases and nine deaths

There are 571 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in the last hours in Abruzzo. From the analysis of 3,616 swabs, 15.79% of the samples analyzed were positive. The regional total is 13,114. There are nine recent deaths: the death toll stands at 577. There are currently more than eight thousand positives and hospitalizations are on the rise. Of the new cases, 265, that is, 47.46%, refer to traces of outbreaks already known. The youngest positive is ten months old, while the oldest is 101 years old. There are 81 under the age of 19.

The total number of cases in Italy since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 790,377. In the last 24 hours, according to data released jointly by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection, the confirmed victims were 352 (compared to 353 on Tuesday), a figure that raised the total deaths from the pandemic registered since February to 39,764 units .
