Lombardy towards a new blockade: shops and premises closed, stop moving between municipalities

ROME / LECCO – The new Dpcm was signed overnight that introduces new rules to combat Covid 19 infections. The measures will be effective from tomorrow, November 5, until December 3. The measures announced in recent days are confirmed: a national curfew in advance of 10:00 p.m. and three different risk bands (green, orange and red) with increasingly strict restrictions.

At the national level, distance learning for high school and the mandatory mask for younger students, the closure of museums and shopping centers on weekends, the maximum capacity of 50% in the means of transport is also confirmed.

What matters most to the Lombards, who had already adopted stronger measures than other Italian regions, are the measures that will be introduced for the highest risk areas.

In the high risk orange range

In the ‘orange’ risk range, the closure of bars and restaurants (only home catering is allowed) and the prohibition of traveling by public or private transport from the municipality other than the residence is foreseen except for work, health reasons and need.

In the “red” range with maximum risk

In the ‘red’ strip there is also the closure of retail stores, with the exception of food products, prohibition of moving even within the same municipality of residence except for reasons of necessity and of accompanying children to school, walks only in close to your home, you will be allowed to carry out sports activities exclusively outdoors and individually.

Instruction will continue in the presence of preschoolers through sixth grade.

The markets will remain closed, regardless of the type of activity, except those destined to the sale of food products only. Newsstands, tobacconists, pharmacies and parapharmacies remain open. Public employers should limit the presence of personnel in the workplace to guarantee only those activities that they consider cannot be postponed and that necessarily require such presence.

Today the subdivision of the areas

The definition of the regions with the highest risk is now awaited and Lombardy seems to be destined for that list. More will be known in the next few hours.
