Men and women, young and old, Republicans and Democrats await the result of the vote, at home, with half empty boxes

The results of this year’s US presidential elections are taking longer than usual. The main reason is that many Americans have chosen to vote by mail in order not to risk exposing themselves to coronavirus infection and this has led to some slowdowns in the counting of the ballots. Also due to the pandemic, most Americans right now are waiting for the election results in their homes rather than in bars and squares. But there are still several photos between those taken in the last hours that give a good idea of the general waiting climate.
