The advance of Covid breaks the ceiling of one thousand infections a day also in Puglia, and this complicates the situation with the new prevention measures that come with the next Dpcm, now imminent. According to today’s epidemiological bulletin, published by the Department of Health Promotion of the Puglia region, there have been 1,163 new positive cases before 5,955 Covid-19 coronavirus infection test. Once again, the territorial impact is decisive, with the clearly predominant weight of the northern part of the region: 716 in the province of Bari, 61 in the province of Brindisi, 117 in the province of BAT, 115 in the province of Foggia , 45 in the province of Lecce, 101 in the province of Taranto, 7 attributed to residents outside the region. 1 case of province of unknown residence (here the complete bulletin). Based on these data, there are almost 20 positives for every 100 swabs (19.53% to be exact). Increase in new hospitalizations: 51 in one day, for a total of 844. The currently positive ones exceed 13 thousand: specifically, they are 13,525. In fact, people hospitalized or isolated by Covid in Puglia have doubled in the space of 11 days (they were 6,828 on October 23).
Twelve deaths were recorded, also in this case all located in the north: 1 in Bat province, 11 in Foggia province.

The total of positive cases of Covid in Puglia is 21,091, divided as follows: 8,760 in the province of Bari; 2304 in the province of Bat; 1408 in the province of Brindisi; 4925 in the province of Foggia; 1492 in the province of Lecce; 2050 in the province of Taranto; 151 attributed to residents outside the region; 1 province of unknown residence.
The Asl Prevention Departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
