Catering, Solinas does not reopen anything: in the end it will be a mini-ordinance on airplanes

The mountain is about to give birth to the mouse. Christian solinas is preparing to sign just a mini ordinance that it will not contain provisions on bars and restaurants, unlike what has been promised for days. In the new device of the governor – announced a week ago, always postponed and whose date is still uncertain – only the arrivals and, at most, distance education of superiors will be regulated (unless the head of the Sardinian council change it too) idea). All other advertisements should be filed under the political deception chapter.

But let’s go in order. After cheating the restaurant business, Solinas last night could no longer hide that the staggering reopens were melina (a bit clumsy even). The intervention of the Minister of Regional Affairs was decisive, Francesco Boccia, who said three things. First: the Dpcm does not allow governors any chance to make them less restrictive. Second: the presidents themselves were informed of the lack of room for maneuver because the issue was discussed at the State-Regions conference. Third: in the event that orders contrary to the Dpcm are issued, the appeal will be immediately proceeded.

At that moment, Solinas became the naked king. And at 9:20 p.m., after four hours of videoconferencing, he couldn’t help sadly beat the retreat. The governor’s (dirty) game was understood by all the group, opposition and majority leaders. The president of the Region has only created illusions in the world of restoration, promising to correct the restrictions without having the power to do so. Even at midnight, the head of the Sardinian council had relaunched the option of dual time, with a postponement of the closure of bars and ice cream parlors at 8:00 p.m. and one of restaurants at 23:00.

In Sardinia, as in any other region, everything remains as is: public places must continue to close at 18, as established in the Dpcm. And it will be like that until November 24, then we’ll see. But Rome will decide first. Given the widespread increase in infections throughout the country, it is foreseeable that the measures will be the same and mandatory throughout Italy.

Returning to the last few days, during the weekend, between October 24 and 25, it was understood that Solinas’ strategy was not entirely clear. Indeed: the 21st the head of the Giunta blames the Sardinians for lowering their guard and causing the increase in infections (read here). So much so that the next day he says he is ready to close Sardinia for one ‘stop going‘, that’s a emergency shutdown Short and fixed in fifteen days (here the chronicle). In reality, the problem was the hospitals that were already full and without beds, with ambulances lined up in the Santissima Trinità car park in Cagliari, the largest Covid hospital in Sardinia, and the 118 crews forced to bivouac at night. But the policy on this is silent.

Time two days, and it’s Friday October 24th – here is the first somersault. The president reveals that it is stop going It would have been the last resort, but he still reports that he is working hard to develop restrictions that “for sure” would have. “Interventions aimed at reducing the circulation of the virus,” wrote the governor’s press office in a note.

This leads to Saturday 25: The promised ordinance does not exist yet. But the second somersault comes, this time with a twist. In fact, the draft of the Dpcm was released from Rome. Among the planned measures, the curfew at 6:00 p.m. At that time Solinas completely changed his mind and did everything possible to achieve a record: the governor of Sardinia decided that he should open Sardinia. As Conte, Pd and Cinque Stelle want to shut it down, he becomes the ‘good boy’, the man of concessions.

How Solinas believes that no one realizes his political waltzes remains a mystery. The fact is that until last night the president continued posing as the savior of the country. Then Boccia’s cold shower. Eventually the super ordinance will become a mini document, with little material and everything more restrictive than in Rome. The measure should continue to be the reduction of flights and routes by sea, one hundred percent distance learning for high school students and the reduction of transport capacity in public transport by reducing the filling rate from 80 to 20 per hundred. And all while yesterday, October 28, Sardinia registered the record of infections: 362.
