Next days with the Saharan Anticycloneme next days will be characterized by a powerful invasion of the sub-Saharan anticyclone in Italy. However its effects will not be uniform: it will NOT be hot for everyone.

A necessary premise must be made. The subtropical anticyclone, or North African if you prefer, is a continental anticyclonic zone that almost permanently affects the entire area of ​​North Africa occupied by the desert of Sahara (hence the name of Saharan anticyclone) where it guarantees a generalized and persistent atmospheric stability. In recent years, thanks to the northward increase of the tropical flow, the high African pressure is making its warm and stabilizing influence increasingly felt also in many areas of the world.Europe, especially in the Mediterranean (including Italy), in a mechanism that penalizes the almost disappeared anticyclone of the Azores. But the consequences of an African summer anticyclone are very different from those that occur during the autumn / winter period, at least in some areas of Italy.

Already in the course of Wednesday, but above all of Thursday, the time it will inevitably assume a stable and fairly sunny position throughout the country, with a very pleasant climate, especially during the central hours of the day and early afternoon. However, and we come to the previous point, as it occurs systematically in autumn and winter, the presence of high pressures and the consequent stagnation of air in the lower layers, favor the formation of the much dreaded mists, especially in the flat areas of the north.
