The president of the autonomous province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, signed an ordinance on October 26 that, like that of the province of Bolzano, establishes different rules regarding the restrictions provided by the new Decree of the president of the Council of Ministers (DPCM) to slow down coronavirus infections.
In Trentino, bars must close at 8:00 p.m. and restaurants at 10:00 p.m., instead of 6:00 p.m. as required by the DPCM. There will be no distance education for secondary schools, which on the other hand must cover 75 percent of the teaching hours nationwide. The ordinance came into effect on October 27 and also provides for the closure of all commercial activities (stores and shopping centers) on Sundays.
People over 70 are “strongly advised” to limit social contacts exclusively to people who live with or care for them, to avoid close contact with people under 30 when possible, and to avoid participating in events, functions and ceremonies, even if they are allowed.
Regarding the opening of the ski resorts, Fugatti said that the autonomous province of Trento faces “with the other neighboring regions and provinces, from Veneto to Lombardy and Alto Adige, to reach a security protocol with common rules.” “.
For the moment, in fact, the DPCM allows the use of the facilities only to “professional and non-professional athletes, recognized of national interest by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), by the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP) and / or by the respective federations to allow preparation for the realization of national and international sports competitions or the realization of said competitions “. The lifts may be open to amateur skiers “only after the adoption of specific guidelines by the Conference of Autonomous Regions and Provinces and validated by the Technical-Scientific Committee, aimed at avoiding crowds of people and, in general, meetings”.
