MASSA – Serious work accident this Tuesday afternoon in Massa. The accident occurred around 2:00 p.m.: a construction worker in his forties who was working in the industrial estate was driving a forklift when, for reasons to be determined, he suffered crushing chest trauma and was transferred in code red to the Cisanello hospital thanks to the intervention of the Pegaso 3 helicopter rescue service, which landed at the nearby Romagnano sports field.
According to a first reconstruction, the worker, while maneuvering the cart, was hit by a beam from the shed under construction in via Lottizzazione.
In the place, in addition to the helicopter, car companies, ambulances and firefighters intervened. As in these cases, the occupational medicine staff of the Prevention, Hygiene and Safety at Work (Pisll) sector of the ASL Northwest Tuscany also intervened for the relevant findings. The scope of the trauma is being validated.
