Covid: new record of infections and victims, + 127 intensive therapies – Ultima Ora

(ANSA) – ROME, OCTOBER 27 – New records of infections and victims of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Italy. The positives are 21,994 (almost 5,000 more than yesterday) compared to 174,398 swabs (almost 50,000 more than yesterday). The dead are 221, according to data from the Ministry of Health, almost double the 141 the day before. It was not since May 5 that there were such a high number of deaths, then there were 236.

The total infected is now 564,778, the victims 37,700. Discharged and healed are 271,988 (+3,362). Eight regions have more than a thousand new cases, Lombardy leading with 5,036, then Campania 2,761 and Piedmont with 2,458. The others are Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Lazio, Tuscany and Liguria.

Jump of patients in intensive care: 127 more in the last 24 hours, for a total of 1,411 people in intensive care. In ordinary wards there are already 13,955 patients, an increase of 958. The current positives have reached 255,090, 18,406 more than yesterday. The relationship between the swabs performed and the new positives for coronavirus found amounts to 12.6%. (HANDLE).
