For the moment, schools remain closed in Campania, but in ten days the trend of infections will be further assessed.
This was established at the end of a meeting called by the president of the Region Vincenzo De Luca with the representatives of the world of school, the unions and the school management, with the leaders of the ASL, the Santobono hospital and the members of the crisis unit.
“It was important – said De Luca – register a climate of great collaboration and a great sense of responsibility among all the participants in this important debate ”. In particular, the hypothesis of resuming face-to-face teaching was addressed and discussed, at least during the first two years of school primary school, and epidemiological data on this and other school age groups were illustrated.
Based on the epidemiological trend data from the Crisis Unit, Asl and Santobono, it was agreed “On the need to verify the situation in the next ten days – specified by the regional working group -. It should be monitored whether there will be a cooling of the infection related to school primary school as to allow a relaxation of the measures already taken, in conditions of total safety for students, staff and families ”.
The need to use “These days to prepare for the future, especially in terms of public transport.”
De Luca informed the participants that another 250 buses from private companies will be used for transport with an endowment of 4 million euros, and will work on new initiatives to support the world of school.
Meanwhile, school projects for the weakest groups and for support teaching continue: the Region aims for a “Extension of parental leave for parents, as requested by the government, and bonuses for the purchase of useful technologies for distance education.”
