The ordinance of the president of the Nello Musumeci Region is ready, which provides for containment measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The document, shared with the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, will be released in the next few hours.
Among the measures adopted: the suspension of face-to-face classes in the island’s secondary schools with the simultaneous start of distance education; the reduction by half of the use of passenger seats in urban and extra-urban public transport, rail and maritime transport and the prohibition of circulation by any means from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following day.
The measures that the governor is about to implement are the result of a confrontation with the Sicilian Scientific Technical Committee, which has analyzed the epidemiological evolution of the island. It should be noted, in fact, that currently in Sicily there are no criticalities similar to those in other territories of the country, but -as the experts themselves point out- a containment action is necessary to avoid alarm situations in the coming weeks.
