These are the requests of the Order of Nursing Professions of Genoa to President Giovanni Toti with the invitation to “not delay any longer and take the appropriate initiatives to combat the current health emergency.”

“Instead of exasperating and mortifying nurses and healthcare workers by threatening to block holidays, it is necessary
– order the confinement in the regional context because patients with ventilatory supports such as helmets must also be counted in intensive care posts and we are in full emergency
– suspend all electoral activities in hospital settings and transfer them to accredited health facilities
– Immediately activate the intervention of civil protection to use the previous rankings of doctors, nurses and OSS to be assigned to health structures of low intensity of care.
Nurses are a safe point of reference for Ligurian Health and for citizens but they reject any futile attempt to deal with the coronavirus emergency, by suspending the legitimate rest from work, especially in these dramatic moments that in addition to fatigue daily, we see. the nightmares, the faces, the pain of six months ago resurfacing.
