Tuscany Governor Eugenio Giani announces the new ordinance live on Facebook. “The activities of the ordinary health services must be developed without limitations. In oncology and in all other departments. We must not allow ourselves to concentrate everything on Covid and perhaps put in second order the other pathologies that must continue to be treated ”. A tracking center will be created in each ASL, Covid vacancies will be increased and extraordinary staff will be hired “even among students in the last year of Medicine.” On the other hand, visits to relatives in the hospital are prohibited “except for a few minutes in the case of especially fragile people.”
Tuscan mayors will have ample freedom to intervene in their own territory against concentrations to avoid contagion. As for sports activities, the amateur ones will be interrupted as of Sunday October 25 “not so much in training as in competitions and tournaments.” For contact sports there will be a special regulation.
School: distance education should be promoted in secondary schools from second to fourth year, with shifts of physical presence in the classroom. Giani will meet with the school’s regional office on Monday.
The same for large shopping centers: Giani wants to coordinate interventions with economic categories.
