“If infections increase, we can adopt restrictive measures with respect to Dpcm. I am concerned about the gatherings of people outside, not the restaurants.”
MODENA. More closures? If infections increase we will have to distinguish between what is necessary and what is not.
The president of the Region, Stefano Bonaccini, commented yesterday on the possibility of making more restrictions with respect to the Government’s Dpcm.
“I think we should have a responsibility to do this: more restrictive partial closures and, if infections increase, distinguish between what needs to be kept open (factories, stores, schools and universities, even with any restrictions) and instead understand what habits daily we can resign so as not to infect everyone ».
On the aspects of sociability that Bonaccini considers more dangerous there are no restaurants: “They give few problems”, rather the governor mentions “the places of sociability where people meet in the open air and besides the obligatory mask that is used there are no other restrictions or controls that can be done “. The governor, invited on “Today is another day” on Rai 1, also spoke about the school: “We all fight for the return of the school in presence. After that we live in the real world, not the ideal. Regional presidents have the power to make restrictive decisions regarding the Dpcm. I also prefer school in presence, but with an increase in infections we have to find the best possible solutions.
THE NUMBERS
In Modena the number of cases is in line with the last days: yesterday there were 84, with 34 symptomatic. No deaths and, excellent news, two fewer people in intensive care where there are currently 8. Of 84 new positives 34 smears for the presence of symptoms, 12 were identified as contacts of already known cases, 1 positive result in the detection tests in the higher risk categories, 2 were diagnosed thanks to pre-hospital controls, 4 by serological tests, epidemiological investigations are being carried out for 31 cases. The new cured are 28. The active cases are 1,129.
The health direction of the Casa Albergo for the elderly Villa Paolina in Monteorsello di Guiglia reports that “in recent days, several guests of the structure have found themselves with fever”, which prompted a detection action by the Ausl. In total there are 18 positive guests while another 18 tested negative. Isolation of all positive guests has been arranged within one of the floors of the structure. The Ausl organized the medical examinations of the guests through the intervention of the USCA doctors and a geriatrician. At the moment, hospitalization was only necessary for one guest, however the swab was negative. Ausl has taken steps to disinfect the environments and integrate individual protection devices. Cases also in the protected house of Pertini di Soliera: 6 in total, 4 guests and 2 operators, all asymptomatic. A case also reported in the Municipality of Sassuolo: it is an employee who works at the I Quadrati management center that will be cleaned up today.
THE SCHOOLS
There are 4 new positives between students and operators. The Usl company recalls that before a positivity “immediately prepares the swabs for the classes and the teachers of the sections involved”. And it is that “in institutions where public health detects limited contact between students, also by virtue of current contagion prevention measures, home isolation is not provided while waiting for the tampon and the lessons can continue regularly with the obligation to wearing the mask on the counter. The obligation extends to all students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the school building in question. Instead, home isolation was ordered for the students and school staff of the Girotondo di San Prospero kindergarten. The measure became necessary after the detection of “certain positivity in the children and teachers of the institute”, specifies the Ausl. At the end of the isolation, the control panel for students and school staff is provided. Also in isolation there is a section of the Arca di Noè nursery in Carpi and a section of the San Prospero primary school. From the results of the swabs, all negative, the children and the teaching staff of a section of the Mirò di Castelvetro nursery school can resume their activity.
