Tents are installed in the Holy Trinity for the 118 rescuers.

The Soccorso Group of Sardinia broke the news. Another very busy night for healthcare workers committed to rescuing suspected covid-19 cases. The 118 ambulances arrived at Santissima Trinità di Cagliari yesterday at 6 in the afternoon, at 7:30 in the morning today they had not yet authorized the patient.

“For the 118 operators it was a terrible night and we thank the director of the Santissima, Sergio Marracini, and the director of civil protection Antonio Belloi, who, at our suggestion, are setting up tents for first responders in the emergency rooms of Cagliari.”

An extreme measure “but really necessary if we do not want to risk the collapse of the basic emergency system – explain the operators – which alone is worth around eighty percent of the emergency transport of the Sardo 118”.

Meanwhile, since yesterday a banner has been flying at the entrance to the Cagliari hospital, one of the symbols where they have been fighting SARS-CoV-2 since March. “All Sardinia is with you”, reads a message of solidarity and closeness for those directly involved in this health emergency.
