On his Facebook profile there are several photos of his “life” in uniform: shots from many years ago and even recent, a sadly broken smile in an accident in that theater, sadly, of too many tragedies. Giuseppe Carta, especially in the Cagliari district of La Palma, is well known, where his parents also live. His heart stopped beating a few hours ago, after the terrible crash between the Alfa Romeo in which he was traveling with a colleague and a truck. The 45-year-old deceased was a member of the Sardinia Battalion, based in San Bartolomeo: commotion among his companions, who preferred, closed with pain, not to issue any statement. Therefore, Giuseppe Carta was well known on La Palma. To remember him is the former president of the 5th district of Cagliari, Davide Cabras: “I was his coach in the football days at Frassinetti, the historic team of La Palma, climbing the different categories of the youth sector. We knew each other from a very young age, even with his family, they are very loved throughout the neighborhood. Giuseppe had decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, a retired carabinieri. His disappearance hurts me a lot ”.
Also moved by the Traffic Councilor Alessio Mereu, who has a long history in military health behind him: “The death of Giuseppe Carta is very sad news. I know his parents very well, we live a few dozen meters apart, “he explains. “I meet them often and, on several occasions, I have also spoken with Giuseppe: I express my sincere and condolences to his loved ones.”
