Covid, WHO: Increase in Europe due to quarantine errors

The increase in Covid cases in the northern hemisphere is due to errors in the quarantine of people exposed to the coronavirus. This is what the director of emergencies of the World Health Organization, Michael Ryan, said, according to which it must be ensured that “each contact of a confirmed case is quarantined for the appropriate period.”

But, he admitted, “I don’t think this has happened systematically, everywhere.” And that, Ryan noted, “is in large part why we are seeing such high numbers,” as roughly half of the 48 countries in the WHO European region experience an increase of around 50% in cases. ‘last week.
