CREMONA (October 20, 2020) – Curfew from 23 to 5 and market closed on weekends. The measure will go into effect on Thursday night. The stop at the shopping centers will not affect the sale of food and basic necessities. The proposal of the Lombardy Region and of the mayors was born from the rapid evolution of the epidemiological curve and from the forecast of the ‘Indicators Commission’ created by the Directorate General of Well-being of Pirellone; prognosis according to which – as of October 31 – there could be about 600 hospitalized in intensive care (slightly less than six times those registered yesterday) and up to 4,000 in non-intensive care (yesterday there were 1,136). A ‘red alert’ scenario, which led representatives of local communities to call for a sharp and objectively traumatic repression. Traumatic because of the (unfortunately realistic) message it transmits and the devastating consequences that its implementation could have, especially in the sectors of public establishments and entertainment (cinema, theaters and auditoriums), already paralyzed and reduced to the limit of survival since the first confinement and his long wave, still far from being exhausted.
