The rise in Covid infections is concerning

MILAN – Stop all activities and travel, with the exception of ‘exceptional’ cases (health, work and demonstrated need reasons), throughout Lombardy since 23 to 5 in the morning starting Thursday October 22.

It is the proposal that, unanimously, the mayors of all the capital municipalities of Lombardy, the president of the Anci, Mauro Guerra, leaders of majority and opposition groups and the governor Attilio Fontana, having taken note of what is represented by the Lombard Technical Scientific Committee, they will ask to share with the Government, in the person of the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, to deal with the spread of the virus.

A proposal that arises from the rapid evolution of the epidemiological curve and the forecast of the ‘Indicators Commission’ created by DG Welfare, according to which, as of October 31, there could be around 600 ICU patients and up to 4000 non-ICU (for the situation, updated to date, in the Lecco hospital read here).

In addition, in the meeting held today, all the participants shared the opportunity to close, on Saturday and Sunday, the medium and large commercial distribution, except for feeding exercises and basic needs.
