Viterbo – Coronavirus, 114 cases confirmed today, of which 25 in the San Francesco nursing home in Farnese.
Two people died in the last 24 hours in Viterbo and six recovered. These are the ASL updates.
“The Belcolle Molecular Genetics section reported 114 confirmed cases of Covid-19 positivity – report to local health authorities – to the Coronavirus operational team of the Viterbo Local Health Authority at 11 am.
The latest positivity reports are linked to swabs made to citizens residing or domiciled in the following municipalities: 27 in Viterbo, 26 in Farnese, 8 in Civita Castellana, 8 in Tarquinia, 6 in Castel Sant’Elia, 5 in Ischia di Castro, 4 in Capranica, 3 in Nepi, 3 in Corchiano, 3 in Bolsena, 2 in Tuscania, 2 in Valentano, 2 in Montefiascone, 2 in Marta, 2 in Orte, 1 in Fabrica di Roma, 1 in Villa San Giovanni in Tuscia, 1 in Graffignano, 1 in Acquapendente, 1 in Sutri, 1 in Vejano, 1 in Capodimonte, 1 in Arlena di Castro, 1 in Grotte di Castro, 1 in Soriano nel Cimino, 1 in Carbognano.
Of the current cases, 34 have an epidemiological link with previously verified and already isolated cases, 52 are connected to swabs done to detect symptoms, 3 are connected to a swab done after an antigen test, 25 are guests of the retirement home San Francesco di Farnese. 110 are convalescing at home, 4 are currently hospitalized in the Belcolle infectious diseases ward ”.
The Coronavirus operational team has activated prevention and protection measures, in order to contain the spread of the virus, strengthening the chain of close contacts, with the valuable collaboration of municipal administrations.
Regarding the San Francesco di Farnese nursing home, the ASL of Viterbo is awaiting the report of new swabs made to all the personnel of the structure, in which the company has already intervened, communicating to those responsible for it the provisions of immediate application for the containment of the infection by Covid-19.
Currently, the clinical picture of patients is constantly monitored. None of them, at the moment, require any kind of hospital care.
In total, at 11 this morning, the cases of positivity to Covid-19, resident or domiciled in Tuscia, amount to 1,391 of which 62 are the cases verified in extra Asl structures.
The ASL, with extreme regret, also reports the death, which occurred in the last 24 hours, of two patients aged 68 and 79, residents of the municipality of Viterbo, hospitalized for days in the department of infectious diseases of Belcolle and whose clinical picture it was already complex due to the coexistence of other pathologies.
Today, the institutionally competent subjects were notified of the recovery from Covid-19 of 6 patients resident or domiciled in the following municipalities: 3 in Acquapendente, 1 in Viterbo, 1 in Ronciglione and 1 in Orte.
At the moment, of the people reported positive for Coronavirus: 34 are hospitalized in the infectious diseases department, 5 are hospitalized in the Belcolle Covid Intensive Care Unit, 4 are hospitalized in an extra ASL health center, 739 are spending their convalescence in your home. The number of negative people rises to 577, 32 are the deceased, to which must be added the patient resident in Tuscia and who died in a hospital outside the province.
Since the start of the Covid emergency, 39,368 swabs have been made in the province of Viterbo, 315 in the last 24 hours. To date, 1,254 citizens are in fiduciary home isolation, while 6,115 have completed the isolation period. “
