Florence, October 19, 2020 – So here we are: the regional council, this Monday, October 19, is in its first session. Start at 3pm at Palazzo Panciatichi. First act therefore of the Giani legislature for the assembly, between security measures and strict anti-covid rules in this period of new wave of infections. Forty councilors who will animate the work of the board for five years.
The cards of all the protagonists can be found below. There are 24 center-left councilors: 22 from the Democratic Party plus two from Italia Viva. Democrats hold the same seats as the last legislature. On the other hand, there were two councilors representing the Five Star Movement (the presidential candidate Irene Galletti and Silvia Noferi): five in the last legislature.
Instead, there are 14 councilors that make up the center-right galaxy: eight from La Lega, five from Fratelli d’Italia plus one from Forza Italia. As for the League, Matteo Salvini’s party increases by two directors. Fratelli d’Italia had only one seat in the last legislature and therefore considerably strengthens its presence on the council.
But it is a first day of private classes, because for the first time there will be no one between the banks of Panciatichi Palace: the seats that went from Sì Toscana to Sinistra in the last legislature disappear In fact, none of the lists on the left of the Democratic Party have made it.
