Alex Rins he won Aragon Grand Prix: the Spanish Suzuki rider prevailed against a surprising Alex Marquez (Honda) et al. new leader of the World Cup Joan Mir. Fourth place for Maverick Viñales.
Sunday to forget Quartararo, which causes a technical problem, does not score and loses the leadership of the World Cup. THE RACE
Maverick Viñales starts well and immediately tries to take advantage, followed by Quartararo and Morbidelli who face a duel. Then behind the two Suzukis, Dovizioso is eighth.
In the third round it ends a terra Bagnaia, leading the way is Rins to undermine the Yamahas, snatching third place from Morbidelli. In the fifth lap Rins manages to overtake Quartararo, conquering the second position behind Viñales who tries to stretch into the lead.
Dovizioso struggles and can’t keep up of those in front: Forlì is ninth and shows no signs of recovery. A completely different story for Alex Márquez and Mir, who instead approach the leading drivers.
The Suzukis begin to take over mid-race.: Rins overtakes Viñales and takes the lead, Mir is third while Quartararo even slides into sixth position, behind a fast-growing Alex Márquez and one step away from the podium.
The Frenchman is in crisis perhaps due to a technical problem and sinks to fifteenth position: the World Cup leadership is about to change. In front is Rins, then Viñales threatened by Mir, in fourth place Alex Márquez.
With nine laps to go Yamaha disappeared from the top positions: At the head are the two Suzuki riders of Rins and Mir, then Alex Márquez and then Viñales.
The brother of the world champion is particularly inspired and 5 laps from the end he also ranks second, chasing Rins.
In the very tense final position unchanged: Rins moves to first place, then Marquez and Mir. Viñales fourth.
