The new ordinance on nightlife signed by Governor Attilio Fontana dampens the enthusiasm of this Milanese weekend and provides the first reactions from the city. Throughout the Navigli all the bars are open, people keep hanging out but the tables are not full. Same scene at Porta Venezia, where the ‘aperitif crowd’ seems decimated than usual. To monitor the situation, the police ordered extraordinary controls, which in recent days have raised fines for citizens and businessmen who have not respected anticovid rules.
In Valtellina, several doctors and nurses from the Morelli di Sondalo hospital tested positive for Covid-19, as it appears that health workers attended a party among colleagues about ten days ago.

Same scene in Porta Venezia, where the aperitif people are decimated in front of the usual and those who did not want to give up are still sitting outside the premises, thus respecting one of the fundamental steps of the anti-Covid provision. After 6 in the afternoon, all bars without table service have to close, but no one has thought that just to solve the problem of social distance, for a few months almost all bars have organized themselves occupying the sidewalks with their own tables. Even those that historically have never had them. Until a year ago this ordinance would have led to the closure of almost all the Porta Venezia premises, today nothing changes. The actual response to the service will be visible after dinner, starting at 10 pm, or two hours before the close of all business activities, including restaurants. To monitor the situation, extraordinary controls have been managed by the Police, which in recent days have raised fines to citizens and businessmen who have not complied with the anti-Covid regulations19.
