“The Tuscan model for managing the health emergency determined by Covid is based on the 3T system: test, follow-up and treatment. To overcome the lack of reagents or devices on the part of the supplier companies, Tuscany has differentiated, in collaboration with Estar, the production channels of molecular tests on multiple technologies and, therefore, also on antigenic tests of various types. In the case of tests for the qualitative determination of specific antigens for SARS-CoV-2, given the speed of execution, which ranges from 15 to 30 minutes, these will be dedicated mainly to school-age children, thus meeting the needs of families and schools for quick answers. In addition to the reservation portal, the drive throughs (due to its mobile nature) will use the App developed by the Tuscany Region, called #ascuolainsalute, which will allow operators to register the acceptance and execution of the test itself, directly on the site.
“This is a highly digitized service that optimizes processes in its absolute ease of use. Introducing this new online method also on the swab front means further simplifying the process and saving time for citizens, family members and caregivers, not to mention simplifying the complex phases that characterize the testing process. We have already tested it successfully with the previous safe and school travel portals ”, explains the director of the Directorate for Citizen Rights and Social Cohesion. Carlo Tomassini, and the head of the digital health and innovation sector of the Tuscany region, Andrea Belardinelli, during today’s press conference to present the latest technological tool, dedicated to simplifying the lives of citizens.
