The curve of the epidemic in Italy is still uphill: there are 10,925 cases of Covid in the last 24 hours, against 10,010 yesterday, but with 165,837 swabs, more than 15 thousand more than yesterday and a new historical record. The total number of cases thus amounts to 402,536. Deaths decreased slightly, 47 today (yesterday they were 55), for a total of 36,474.
New jump in admissions: intensive care is 67 more (+52 yesterday), and thus amounts to 705, while ordinary hospitalizations increase by 439 units (382 yesterday), and are 6,617 in total. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
Infections, region by region
The region with the most cases remains Lombardy, +2,664, followed by Campania (1,410), Lazio (994), Piedmont (972) and Tuscany (879).. No region with zero contagion, the one that does the best, but still in clear growth, Basilicata with 57 new cases.
The number of cured patients has fallen, 1,255 today against 1,908 yesterday, for a total of 249,127.
The number of positives is currently increasing again, +9,623 in just 24 hours: current patients are now 116,935 in total. Of these, 109,613 patients are in home isolation, 9,117 more than yesterday.
As for the swabs, of the more than 165 thousand in total today, 103,326 are used to test new cases, for a proportion of approximately 10% between positive and analyzed cases.
