Curfew at 10pm, hypothesis of the closure of gyms and estheticians, school in shifts and 75% smart work

These are the new measures that the Government is considering after the boom in infections that could be enacted as of Sunday or Monday

The new Dpcm will arrive no later than Monday, October 19, if not Sunday, which in fact will go beyond the one launched no more than four days ago, before the situation of Coronavirus infections reached alarming heights such as the last record of more than 10,000 cases and the increase in hospitalizations in intensive care.

The squeeze of nightlife The objective continues to be to avoid a national blockade, like last March. A measure that the Count himself has repeatedly excluded in recent days. But a new squeeze is fundamentally inevitable, starting with the curfew that could be given from 10 at night for all discos, with the hypothesis of a drastic closure of nightlife on weekends with total closure. In regions that have a particularly high contagion rate, the possibility of limiting hours, if not imposing a temporary closure, of gyms, hairdressers, beauty centers, cinemas and theaters would also be at stake.

Strong measures must also be taken against smart work, which becomes mandatory for both the public and private sectors, but the proportion of employees who will have to work from home is yet to be defined.

The knot of schools. The line of many regions is to restore distance education. The clearest case is that of Campania, with the order of Governor Vincenzo De Luca that marked a break with the government. But the former mayor of Salerno is not alone. Luca Zaia, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, also called for distance education, or at least alternative education, for older children. And with him Stefano Bonaccini from Emilia-Romagna, and the president of Anci Antonio Decaro, who also proposes a rethinking of the organization of the lessons: “If school schedules are distributed more distributed in the morning and in the afternoon reduce the pressure on who have to be taken to school and taken home. “

For primary and secondary schools the hypothesis is to introduce an alternation of shifts, with lessons for some in the morning and for others in the afternoon. For the youngest of the elementary school, admissions will be staggered during the morning starting at 8.

Soccer schools closing. After futsal and amateur contact sports, even grassroots sport now runs the risk of suspending training. While gyms could still remain open, soccer schools and fan associations should stop their activities, considering that extracurricular activities represent an additional element of risk for the spread of infections.
