There are 578 more cases of coronavirus than yesterday in Sicily: new absolute record. Compared to yesterday there are nine more hospitalizations according to the bulletin released by the Ministry of Health. More than 7,700 swabs processed throughout the Sicilian territory.

The number of cured increases: 121 today. However, admissions to intensive care also experienced a slight increase: six more patients than yesterday. Finally, today there are ten victims. The positives in Sicily amount to 5,934 and the number of hospitalized patients amounts to 529.

There are 5,405 people in home isolation. The total number of victims is 360. Regarding the provincial distribution 173 cases in Palermo, 154 in Catania, 76 cases in Agrigento, 58 in Trapani, 43 in Messina, 26 in Caltanissetta, 22 in Syracuse, 15 in Ragusa, 11 in Enna. The deaths occurred 4 in Palermo, 3 in Trapani, 1 in Catania, 1 in Syracuse and 1 in Caltanissetta.

The epidemic curve in Italy continues to rise, exceeding the psychological threshold of 10,000 cases for the first time. 10,010 new positives are registered in the 24 hours, compared to 8,804 yesterday, and also with 150,377 swabs, 12 thousand less than yesterday. The total amounts to 391,611 cases since the beginning of the epidemic. Deaths have dropped, 55 today (yesterday they were 83), for a total of 36,427.

Intensive care still worries, +52 (yesterday +47), reaching 638, while ordinary hospitalizations grew by 382 units (yesterday +326), and now there are 6,178 in total. Growth continues to be driven by Lombardy, with a further increase to +2,419, followed by Campania (+1,261), Piedmont (+821), Lazio (+795) and Tuscany (+755).

The cured in 24 hours are 1,908 (yesterday 1,899), for a total of 247,872. The number of positives currently rises, 8,046 more today (6,821 yesterday), for a total that, as mentioned, once again exceeds 100,000 patients, the highest figure since May 3. Of these, 100,496 patients are in home isolation, 7,612 more than yesterday.
