Cases of positivity to Covid-19 exceed 10 thousand, thus touching the third consecutive record. For the school, however, the decision of the president of Campania Vincenzo De Luca to close the educational activity in presence for two weeks does not seem to be supported by other governors, not even by those aligned in the political opposition. The words of the President of Lombardy, Attilio Fontana, who explained that the proposals made will be evaluated by the CTS that will meet today and “the first argument is to reduce people on local public transport” and, therefore, linked to this issue: broad, therefore, with entry times and staggered egress, plus turn-based distance learning. Provisions that will apply only to high schools, while all others will go ahead in presence.
At school at different times
“Everyone believes – said Fontana – that it is necessary to ask that distance education is not absolute but partial, that there is the possibility that there is an alternation of teaching at school and at home.”
“We ask that efforts be made to organize the distribution of the start of school activities, this should lead to a reduction in attendance to public transport.”
According to Fontana, “the Lombards may be less concerned, but they must be vigilant about the measures, otherwise there is a risk that the epidemic will degenerate. I am less worried than in March ”, concluded the governor.
Boccia: De Luca assumes his responsibilities
Meanwhile, the government’s line seems clear: the Minister of Autonomy, Francesco Boccia“At school and work there are already shared protocols that are working well, but if the president of the Campania Region has decided to issue an ordinance, he takes responsibility for the effects. Limited blockades possible in Piedmont
Meanwhile, limited closures are not excluded in Piedmont if the epidemiological situation worsens.
He said that Bartolomeo Griglio, head of the prevention department of the Piedmont Region Health Department, presenting the new guidelines for the management of infections in schools: “Nothing is defined yet, but we must be prepared and we are defining priorities.”

The regions where Covid is making the most progress

Over the past month, the 30-day prevalence has more than doubled. The most significant difference concerns Liguria, the province of Trento and Campania.. In particular, the national prevalence value for the period increased considerably from 80.87 (in the period from August 15 to September 13) to 192.37 (in the period from September 14 to October 13).
