The Nas carabinieri, as they have already done in recent months in the other RSAs and facilities for the elderly in the province of Bari with outbreaks and investigations still underway, are acquiring useful documentation to verify possible infractions of the anti-Covid legislation , in terms of provision of personal protective equipment and contagion prevention measures. The file entered in form 45 is coordinated by the acting lawyer Roberto Rossi.
A second elderly man from the Giovanni XXIII nursing home in Alberobello was hospitalized due to his deteriorating physical condition. The first was hospitalized on Thursday morning, the second at night between Thursday and Friday.
The structure now operates new staff dispatched by ASL. The asylum, in fact, despite being private, was commissioned by the health authority in accordance with the protocol in these cases. Meanwhile, the outsourced food distribution and laundry service was launched; A team of specialists consisting of an infectious disease specialist, an intern, and an experienced nurse was also dispatched to the facility.
Two days ago the USCA doctors have also arrived at the facility who, in addition to monitoring the situation of the positives, will organize the connection with the families of the elderly. Family doctors will act as a bridge: USCA colleagues will constantly inform general practitioners about the situation within the nursing home and they, in turn, will keep in touch with families.
