So I call the Tacito district and the operator repeats that my name and those of my son and my husband have not yet been reported and that we cannot go to Viale Trento for the tampon, so I call the Local Health Authority where the answer is switchboard. saying that he receives hundreds of telephone calls like mine and, in order not to hear my protests anymore, he passes me an internal number, thus begins an endless ‘Primavera di Vivaldi’ that ends only when the line stops. Then I call the GP who tells me that the report has been made and that we have to wait. Meanwhile, I learned that my cousin, who lives in Narni and came into contact with the same Covid case on the same day, also cleaned up with his wife.
I decide to write two emails to the hygiene and prevention department, but have not received a response at the moment. I call the Tácito district again, the same nurse with whom I had spoken a few hours earlier answers me and tells me that she has written down our names, but that she cannot contact the hygiene and prevention department. So I try to call the toll-free number 800 63 63 63 and report my situation to the operator, the operator advises me that the general practitioner and pediatrician call the department because if I call the department of hygiene and prevention as a private citizen “nobody queues to you ».
Now I would like to make you reflect on these points: if on October 8 I had not reported contact with the Covid patient to my doctor and pediatrician, until the afternoon of Sunday October 11 when I was also contacted by the Local Health Authority of Viterbo, I could have turn quietly and if positive it could have infected half of Umbria. Having not cleaned ourselves, we do not know if we are negative or asymptomatic. Considering that the contact took place on October 4, if my son, who attended school until Thursday, tested positive for Covid, would it still make sense to tell the school with all this delay? In this story, the only positive note is the sense of responsibility we had in contacting the family doctor and pediatrician and putting ourselves in voluntary isolation until Sunday the 11th, in fact if we had not been warned by the Covid patient with whom we had the contact or we were simply ‘deniers’ we would have gone out there, we would have gone to schools, workplaces, gyms, pizzerias and bars … not everything is going well.
I consider myself a responsible person who has a sense of duty and I believe that if I come in contact with a Covid case, quarantine and a swab are necessary, but if my family and I are not called for a swab within ten days To contact. and I do not even know when I will do it and why the hygiene and prevention department does not transmit our names to the corresponding health district, so I feel like ‘under attack’, I feel deprived of my freedoms and above all of the right that I should have mother to find out how well her child is doing.
