Today, out of more than 6,000 swabs performed yesterday, October 13, 182 new Covid-19 infections were detected in Friuli Venezia Giulia (6,030 swabs performed in 24 hours). This is the highest figure recorded since the beginning of the pandemic. This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health, Riccardo Riccardi. The number of people who tested positive for the virus in the region since last February amounted to 5,792, of which: 1,939 in Trieste (67 more than yesterday), 1,977 in Udine (67 more than yesterday), 1,239 in Pordenone (25 more than yesterday) and 609 in Gorizia (22 more than yesterday), to which 28 people from outside the region are added. The current cases of infection are 1,574. The number of patients treated in intensive care has increased to 11 and 28 hospitalized in other wards. There were no deaths, so the global figure remains 356. Totally recovered are 3,862, clinically recovered 20 and isolated 1,515. The deceased are 198 in Trieste, 77 in Udine, 72 in Pordenone and 9 in Gorizia.

In the detail of the cases, with regard to schools, the positivity to Covid of two operators in Torviscosa is registered. In addition, two cases were detected in the Majorana scientific secondary school in Pordenone and one in the Marco Volpe nursery school in Udine. In the health sector, an operator of the Itis de Trieste tested positive for hyssop, while the infection of two babies and two people who have returned from Romania. Finally, there is an outbreak of infections in an accounting firm in Pordenone and the expansion of two family groups in Porcia.
