In Tuscany there are 18,626 cases of coronavirus positivity, 466 more than yesterday (335 identified in the course of screening and 131 from detection activities). New cases are 2.6% more than the total of the previous day.
The average age of 466 cases today is about 43 years (22% are under 20, 20% between 20 and 39, 35% between 40 and 59, 17% between 60 and 79, 6% are 80 years or older).

The notification provinces with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 855 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 576, Pisa with 543, Livorno the lowest with 279.
Hospitalizations and quarantines
In total, 6,259 people are isolated at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or do not have symptoms (334 more than yesterday, 5.6% more).
There are 12,808 (83 less than yesterday, less 0.6%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 4,353, Northwest 5,203, Southeast 3,252).
The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 245 (28 more than yesterday, plus 12.9%), 40 in intensive care (9 more than yesterday, plus 29%).
In total there are 10,942 people cured (98 more than yesterday, plus 0.9%): 432 people clinically cured (64 more than yesterday, plus 17.4%), that is, they were asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Infection and 10,510 (34 more than yesterday, plus 0.3%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab.
The deaths
Today there are 6 new deaths: 4 men and 2 women with an average age of 81.5 years. In relation to the province of residence, the deceased are: 5 in Florence, 1 in Massa Carrara. 1,180 have died since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 428 in Florence, 54 in Prato, 84 in Pistoia, 182 in Massa Carrara, 149 in Lucca, 97 in Pisa, 65 in Livorno, 53 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena , 26 in Grosseto, 9 people died on Tuscan soil but they were residents outside the region.
Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 31.6 x 100,000 residents versus 59.9 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region).

Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (93.4 x100,000), Florence (42.3 x100,000) and Lucca (38.4 x100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (11.7 x 100,000).
