The first anti-Covid squeeze has arrived, after the increase in infections, from Mayor Franco Vita, who today signed the already announced ordinance. “We proceeded – underlines the mayor – to carry out the conciliation and the correct balance between public and private interests, considering the interest in health as paramount”.
The ordinance follows the outbreak that broke out in a Nepi gym, already closed by Vita for ten days. “In the southern part of the province – explains the mayor – the virus is also spreading following the frequency of indoor contact sports. It is appropriate to intervene, pending the next governmental and regional measures, with the temporary closure of activities of this type to adequately deal with future and possible contagion situations ”.
So from today and for twenty days in Nepi “all indoor contact sports are prohibited.” While “indoor and outdoor non-contact activities can continue as long as the rules are respected.” The facility manager must measure the athlete’s temperature at the entrance and record their name. During the activity, users must maintain a distance of at least two meters from each other and the structure must be sanitized at the end of each shift.
For those who do not respect the order, penalties ranging from 25 euros up to three months of detention are provided.
