A tram on line 3 derailed after an accident today, Monday, October 12, 2020, at Rondò della Forca. The vehicle, which was traveling in the direction of Vallette, left its seat due to a hammer getting caught in the tracks (probably dropped by some other vehicle) and lightly hitting a child, fortunately without causing serious damage. Three passengers aboard the vehicle fell and were slightly injured. Some injuries also for the driver of the vehicle.
At the scene, in addition to the ambulance health workers, the local police intervened to resolve the chaos that was generated after the accident and the firefighters to return the tram to the tracks, as well as the GTT staff. Lines 3 and 16 were diverted to alternative routes until the situation returned to normal.
