Although the direction that the government has decided to take is clear – to stop, as soon as possible, the growth of coronavirus infections, which in recent days have more than doubled – there are numerous critical points in the measures that are being studied to the new Dpcm.
The rules and new norms that will converge in the decree (which will be launched next week, Thursday or perhaps already from Monday: here everything we know so far) will be discussed during the extraordinary meeting of the CTS called by the Minister of Health. Roberto Speranza.
Will there be a limited number of parties in public places?
According to scientists, this is a measure that can be valid in confined spaces, but runs the risk of being useless if the party takes place in a large space and with the guests seated at the table. In this case, it is considered more appropriate to follow the regulations in force in restaurants, prohibiting standing up and in groups inside and outside the premises and wearing a mask when not at the table. The government seems to be sure put a limit of 30 people at least in this rapidly rising phase of the epidemiological curve. If this line were to hold, in the next Dpcm, in all the receptions it could not be more than 30 – and if you are not sitting at the table you must wear a mask; You will not be able to serve yourself at the buffet and in any case you will have to keep your distance.
Will house parties be banned?
The problem is with legal merit of a rule that establishes a limit of behavior within a private property without a law. For this experts suggest it becomes a recommendation As happened with the masks with Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte who suggested using them when you are at home with people who do not live together, especially if there are elderly people or people with pathologies. In this case, it would not be advisable, but not forbidden, to organize parties at home, nor would it be advisable, more generally, to invite many people to the house.

Even this measure has already provoked protests from unions and many governors who are convinced that it causes economic damage and does not serve to limit infections, but the government seems determined to introduce it also to prevent the Regions from getting out of order.

the norm that most divides scientists, also because the isolation must end with a negative swab: but the difficulties of recent weeks regarding the feasibility of testing convince most of the CTS components of the need to take more time before modifying the procedure. Some experts believe that the spread of the infection in France depends precisely on the lack of quarantine and that is why they advise against reducing it.
