Covid: infections still increase, +5,724, 29 deaths in 24 hours – Last minute

(ANSA) – ROME, OCTOBER 10 – Coronavirus infections continue to grow in Italy. In the last 24 hours, the positives have increased by 5,724 (yesterday they were 5,372), with 29 deaths (yesterday 28). This is learned from the data of the Ministry of Health. The swabs were 133,084, a new record (yesterday 129,471). Among the regions, Lombardy registers 1,140 new positives, Campania 664. The total of cases is now 349,494, the deaths 36,140. Among the Regions after Lombardy and Campania for the number of new positives found, are Veneto with 561, Tuscany with 548, Piedmont with 499. Lazio has 384, Emilia Romagna 383. Patients with symptoms nationwide increase. 250 units in 24 hours, bringing the total to 4,336, while patients in intensive care are only 3 more in a day, according to data from the Ministry of Health, reaching 390. People in home isolation grew by 4,466 and now they are 70,103, while the positives currently reach 74,829 with an increase of 4,719. Finally, 238,525 were discharged and cured, increasing by 976 units. (HANDLE).
