And if we receive friends or relatives who do not live with us and come from the other side of the city, be careful. In short, “rigor” and “sense of responsibility” even within the home to avoid “new restrictive measures for productive and social activities.” Why is there so much concern about the contagion that runs in family gatherings and private events? Example: in two small towns in the province of Rome, Sant’Angelo and Poli, in two different baptisms there were forty infected. When we are in the family, but also at events that bring family members together such as a dinner, a baptism or a funeral, the transmission of the virus is rampant. Until mid-September, according to those involved in the tracking, the outbreaks were caused by young people who had become infected during holidays or at night gatherings. Of them, the virus reached the elderly, parents and grandparents, and then spread in family gatherings. Few outbreaks have recently been identified in bars, restaurants or shopping centers, because we use the mask. Even in public transport, no clusters were recorded (although an infection cannot be ruled out), while in some regions such as Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, outbreaks have been identified in factories, small businesses and centers. Experts and the government consider with great concern what will happen in two months, when the trips and family gatherings for the Christmas holidays begin. If the contagion curve does not drop, countermeasures could be taken. Beyond the rules, a sense of responsibility must apply: the eighteen-year-old who leaves high school and goes to visit his grandmother, if he wants to protect her, he must wear the mask and, however difficult it may be, keep his distance.
