Nespolo was born in Novara on March 4, 1943. She was a teacher and member of parliament. communist party He was born in Left Democratic Party: she was elected deputy in 1976 (PCI), thus becoming the first communist parliamentarian in Piedmont, and senator in 1983 (PCI-PDS). She died on the night of October 4, 2020 after a long illness. Nespolo was from a partisan and anti-fascist family: her uncle Amino Pizzorno had been deputy commander of the VI (sixth) partisan zone, operating between Piedmont and the Liguria. In 2004 she became president of the Alexandria Institute for the History of the Resistance and Contemporary Society.
