Coronavirus, new positives and swabs also drop in Sicily: 85 cases in 24 hours, 2 women dead

There are 85 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily in the last 24 hours compared to 3498 buffers. The positives in the last 24 hours, therefore, have dropped significantly (yesterday they were 182) also because the tests carried out are much lower (yesterday 6,638). This is what emerges from the bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

Current positives amount to 3,247 of which 329 were hospitalized, 24 in intensive care (+4) and 2,894 in home isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 7,681 people have been affected by Covid-19 in our region. The healed number 4,115, while there are two more deaths to be recorded, bringing the balance to 319. The victims are a 95-year-old woman from Trapani and an 80-year-old woman from Catania.

Regarding the territorial distribution, 3 new positives in Agrigento, 3 in Caltanissetta, 32 in Catania, 1 in Enna, 33 in Palermo, 6 in Ragusa, 3 in Syracuse, 1 in Trapani.

At the national level, 2,578 (yesterday 2,844) new cases in the last 24 hours and 18 deaths that bring the total of victims, since the beginning of the emergency, to 35,986. In the last 24 hours, 92,714 swabs were made, for a total of 11,784,105.

The total discharged / cured is 231,914 (+697), while the current positives are 57,429 (+1,863). To date, 3,287 (+82) patients are hospitalized with symptoms, 303 (+6) are in intensive care, while 53,839 people are in home isolation.
