PUGLIA – SARS-CoV-2 continues to hit the region: the contagion curve is growing especially in the north of Puglia. In Lecce there are 4 new positive migrants (today’s epidemiological bulletin included only 3): they are 24 years old, 71 years old, 22 years old and 62 years old. There are five other swabs with indeterminate results for some Italians: they will need to be repeated. Today, Sunday, October 4, 2020, 3,486 tests were registered and emerged for the Covid-19 coronavirus infection 151 positive cases: 97 in the province of Bari, 21 in the province of BAT, 4 in the province of Brindisi, 16 in the province of Foggia, 3 in the province of Lecce, 8 in the province of Taranto, 2 in the province of unknown residence. A worrying figure refers to the increase in hospitalizations: they have risen to 244.
No deaths were recorded.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 424,869 tests have been carried out.
4,739 are recovered patients.
2,897 are currently positive cases.
The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 8,234, divided as follows:
3,298 in the province of Bari;
737 in the province of Bat;
779 in the province of Brindisi;
1961 in the province of Foggia;
821 in the province of Lecce;
572 in the province of Taranto;
62 attributed to residents outside the region;
4 province of unknown residence.
Too many infections in the Bari area are worrying, which increases the figures for Apulia, but the general director of Asl Bari, Antonio Sanguedolce: “Today’s peak is due to the readjustment of epidemiological data related to some outbreaks already known and under the control of the health authorities.
