Massa Carrara

After the identification of a positive case, in the Apuan area a second class of primary school was quarantined in the comprehensive school Fossola Gentili. Currently the close contacts identified are the boy’s 13 classmates, 3 between teachers and 7 outside of school. In the Lunigiana area, in the municipality of Licciana Nardi, a 2013 elementary school boy was identified as “positive with low viral load.” Following the epidemiological investigation into contact isolation, 16 of the boy’s classmates, three teachers, a school bus driver, a school bus escort and 18 other children were quarantined.

Lucca

Four students tested positive for Covid: three in Serchio Valley and one that resides in Plain of Lucca and attends an institute of Uzzanese Church. These are the schools in question, for which the Hygiene and Public Health structure, in collaboration with the school management, will communicate the quarantine measures in the next few hours: – kindergarten in Castelnuovo Garfagnana (positive one girl in 2017 ); – Integral Institute of Castelnuovo Garfagnana (positive a child of 2008); – Integral Institute of Castiglione Garfagnana (positive a girl from 2011, who is in a fourth grade); – Chiesina Uzzanese secondary school (positive a girl from 2007, resident in the plain of Lucca, attending the eighth grade).

Livorno

A teacher tested positive for Covid at the Iti Galilei in Livorno. The Hygiene and Public Health structure arranged 100 quarantines (4 classes). At the Liceo Cecioni Livorno a 14-year-old student tested positive. A total of about 20 people are in quarantine. In the Valli Etrusche area, a fifth grade boy from the “Amici” primary school in Campiglia Marittima is positive. This is a contact case with mild symptoms and he has not been to school since last Tuesday. Given the days between the onset of symptoms and the last day of attendance, no quarantines have been issued, but active classroom surveillance will continue to be activated. Instructions were given for the execution of tests to students and teachers of the class and for the extraordinary sanitation of the school environments used by the child.

Empoli

A section of a kindergarten of the comprehensive school ‘Est’ in Empoli, made up of 26 four-year-old children, was quarantined after one of their teacher tested positive to the Covid buffer.
