In Tuscany there are 15,579 cases of positivity to the Covid-19 coronavirus, 188 more than yesterday (112 identified in the course of the screening and 76 from the detection activities). New cases are 1.2% more than the total of the previous day. Those cured grew by 0.2% and reached 10,451 (67.1% of all cases). The tests carried out reached 774,753, 8,305 more than yesterday. Today’s positives are 3,962, 4.5% more than yesterday. There are 125 hospitalized (2 more than yesterday), of which 26 in intensive care (2 more). Today there are no new deaths.
These are the data verified at 12 noon today, Sunday, October 4, based on requests from the National Civil Protection, regarding the advance of the epidemic in Tuscany.

The average age of 188 cases is currently around 42 years (16% are under 20, 28% between 20 and 39, 37% between 40 and 59, 15% between 60 and 79, 4% are 80 years or more) and, in terms of clinical states, 68% were asymptomatic, 22% pauci-symptomatic (symptoms less in number and less intense than usual, ie).
Of the 188 positive cases currently, 6 cases can be linked to returns from abroad. One case can be linked to returns from other Italian regions (Calabria), two are cases remittable to citizens residing outside the region whose positivity was reported in Tuscany. 37% of the cases is a contact linked to a previous case.

It should be remembered that as of June 24, the Ministry of Health changed the data collection system on the spread of Covid-19. Positive cases are no longer indicated according to the province of notification but according to the province of residence or domicile.

The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the change from yesterday.

There are 4,461 cases in total to date in Florence (37 more than yesterday), 993 in Prato (44 more), 1,089 in Pistoia (13 more), 1,545 in Massa (3 more), 1,911 in Lucca (18 more), 1,724 in Pisa (33 more), 794 in Livorno (5 more), 1,219 in Arezzo (23 more), 675 in Siena (6 more), 619 in Grosseto (4 more). There are 549 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions (2 more).
Therefore, there are 94 cases found today in the Central Local Health Authority, 59 in the Northwest, 33 in the Southeast.
Tuscany is confirmed in 10th place in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 418 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average of 535 per 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The reporting provinces with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 793 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 493, Florence with 441. The lowest is Livorno with 237 per 100,000 inhabitants.

In total, 3,837 people are isolated at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or do not have symptoms (170 more than yesterday, 4.6% more).
There are 7,698 (43 more than yesterday, more 0.6%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance for having had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 2,490, Northwest 3,894, Southeast 1,314).

The people admitted to beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 125 (2 more than yesterday, plus 1.6%), 26 in intensive care (2 more than yesterday, plus 8.3%).
In total there are 10,451 people cured (16 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%): 286 clinically cured people (stable compared to yesterday), that is, they became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection and 10,165 (16 more compared to yesterday, plus 0.2%) declared completely cured, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab.

Today there are no new deaths.
