The number of new positives in Sicily continues to grow at a rapid rate. According to the latest survey of the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours on our island there have been another 182 new positive cases of coronavirus and the figure is also weighed down by three other deceased people who bring the total death toll to 387. It is about two women from Trapani aged 90 and 81 who died in Palermo hospitals and an 87-year-old man from Catania.
The number of hospitalized patients is also growing: today there are 322 (and they have grown 18 in 24 hours) but the number of people in intensive care is fortunately stable: 2nd (yesterday they were 21). There are also 56 people declared cured and therefore the overall total of currently positive people rises to 3,171 people, 2,829 of whom are in home isolation. The total number of coronavirus cases in Sicily since the start of the epidemic is therefore 7,596 cases (with 4,108 recovered).
The cases in the individual provinces always see Palermo with the most new positives: 52. In Catania there have been 42 new ones in the last 24 hours, in Messina 11, in Trapani 28, in Syracuse 10, in Ragusa 8, in Agrigento 4 , in Enna 1 and in Caltanissetta 26.
In Italy the new cases in the last 24 hours have been 2,844 with 27 deaths
