167 more cases than yesterday, of which 75 asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and detection activities. These are the data of the infections of October 3 in Emilia-Romagna. Of the total number of new cases, 66 were already isolated at the time of swab execution, 94 were identified in the context of known outbreaks. The average age of new positives today is 39.2 years.

There are 19 new infections related to returns from abroad, for which the Region has provided two nasopharyngeal swabs during fiduciary isolation if they arrive from non-Schengen countries and one swab if they return from Greece, Spain, Croatia and Malta. and regions of France. Of the 75 asymptomatic, 41 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 27 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 2 through screening with serological tests, 4 with prehospital tests, while for one case it was not the investigation epidemiological has not yet been completed.

The situation in the territories

Regarding the situation in the territory, the highest number of cases is registered in the provinces of Bologna (32), Piacenza (24), Parma (11), Reggio Emilia (23), Modena (29), Rimini (16) and Forlì. (18).

A Bologna and province there are 32 new cases. Of these, 9 are sporadic and 23 linked to known outbreaks (due to frequency in public places, family and work environment). Of the 12 symptomatic patients, 7 were identified by contact tracing activities, 3 by tests in professional categories at risk, and 1 by pre-hospital tests. A case is imported from another region.

In the province of Piacenza, there are 24 new positives. 6 derive from controls in access to the emergency room (all symptomatic), 5 reported by general practitioners (symptomatic), 4 highlighted during or at the time of hospitalization (one symptomatic), 7 for serological screening in professional categories at risk, 2 for symptomatology.

In Parma and its province, out of 11 new positives (of which 8 are already isolated and outbreaks already known) 5 were detected because they showed symptoms, while the 6 asymptomatic refer to contact tracing.

In the province of Reggio Emilia, out of 23 new positive cases, 7 are attributable to known family outbreaks, 8 classified as sporadic, 4 imported from abroad (Morocco, France, Ukraine, Tunisia), 3 related to a previously isolated business outbreak and 1 to an outbreak related to a group of friends. All cases are in home isolation.

In the province of Modena, of 29 new positives, 10 returned from abroad (5 Ukraine, 2 Morocco, 1 Romania, 1 Albania, 1 Uganda), 8 are contacts of known cases linked to different family outbreaks, 5 were positive for screening by professional categories and school environment, 1 is a positive swab prior to admission and 5 are sporadic cases. Of the 29, 15 were asymptomatic.

In the Forlì area there are 18 positive cases. Seven positives belong to a new outbreak of employment identified in a company in Forlì, the same for three, related to another company. Two other positive cases are attributable to the large work outbreak identified in Forlì in recent days and one case was positive after returning from France, while five cases arose from contact with known positive cases (three of which from a family outbreak) .

In Rimini there are 16 new cases, of which 4 asymptomatic and 12 with symptoms. 15 are in home isolation and 1 hospitalized not for covid, but for other pathologies. These are 6 men and 10. In detail, 12 cases arose as contacts of already known cases (of which 8 in the family, 3 friends and 1 in a patient who returned from Umbria). One case arose from a swab performed for hospital admission for another pathology and another 3 cases arose from symptoms.

The total number of people cured amounted to 26,468, (+52 compared to yesterday): 7 “clinically cured” (stable compared to yesterday), that is, they were asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection, and 26,461 those declared cured no effects at all because you are negative on two consecutive tests.
