All categories of workers who, through their work, are subjected to a risk to their safety have a risk assignment. Teachers, despite being in contact with many students and subject to the risk of contagion from Covid, do not have any compensation for risk.
Health workers have increased wages
In Tuscany, for example, but this also happens in other regions of Italy, health workers have a daily bonus that ranges between 45 and 20 euros as compensation for the risk of contagion. In essence, it is a salary supplement, ranging from 1,300 to 600 euros per month, which all health professionals are receiving in this emergency phase caused by the risks of Coronavirus infection.
No risk compensation for teachers
However, the risk of a teacher running from contracting the coronavirus is very high, but despite this problem, teachers do not have relative salary increases for risk allowance.
Minister Azzolina, despite the increase in cases of Coronavirus positivity in schools, has not yet summoned the unions to evaluate whether it is convenient to establish, for teachers entering classes, a daily risk allowance as occurs in the sector of health.
