In Italy there are 319,908 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic: +2,499 compared to yesterday when they were +2,548 (+1,851 on September 30). We must go back to April 23, when Italy was still in complete lockdown, to find a similar number of daily infections: 2,646 (but that day the victims were 415).
The death toll stands at 35,941: +23 compared to yesterday when they were +24 (+19 the day before). The swabs processed in the last 24 hours were 120,301 (for a total of 11,572,459): this is the new daily record, which exceeds the one already registered yesterday at 118,236 (it was 105,564 on September 30). This is what emerges from the data of the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection.
Those cured continue to grow, reaching 229,970 (+1,126). It also increases the number of positives currently, which is now 53,997 (+1,350). The pressure on hospitals is constantly increasing with the number of hospitalized patients returning to 3,142 (+45, yesterday the increase was +50) and that of patients in intensive care amounting to 294 (+3, yesterday it was + 11). The positives in home isolation are 50,561 (+1,302).
Contagions in the regions
The regions with the lowest number of new positives are always Molise (today with 4) and Valle d’Aosta (today with 11). After the increase in cases in Veneto yesterday (445 in one day), today the region with the highest number of infections is again Campania with 392 infections (yesterday 390, 287 the day before), followed by Lombardy with 307 (yesterday 324, 201 the day before), Lazio with 264 (265 yesterday, 210 the day before), Tuscany with 223 (144 yesterday, 120 the day before).

By the number of cases since the beginning of the epidemic, Lombardy remains the most affected region with 107.0517 infections: +307 precisely compared to yesterday, when they were +324. There are 19,842 daily mattresses (bringing the total to 2,153,477), up from 24,691 yesterday (18,804 on September 30). The percentage of positives with respect to the number of swabs is 1.5%, compared to 1.3% yesterday (it was 1% the day before).
