«In order to effectively pursue the objective of general vaccination coverage (influenza, ed) and ensure that the regional health service can cope with the increased demand even for people aged 18 to 59 years (residual compared to recipients and served by GP / PLS) that a quota of 100,000 doses of vaccines, or more – explains the ordinance -, is made available to Pharmacies to: a) guarantee the purchase at the expense of the citizen, according to a uniform price of participation that will be identified for this purpose, and after reimbursement to the Region of the cost incurred; b) Allow them, in the presence of the requirements and in accordance with the procedures defined by the Department of Health, as well as the sale, also the organization of a vaccine administration / inoculation service with the consequent assumption of responsibility.».
Tar cancels the vaccine obligation
The ordinance with which on April 17 the president of the Lazio Region imposed the obligation of vaccination against seasonal influenza for all people over 65 years of age was canceled (under penalty of prohibition of frequenting easy meeting places, social centers and residences of the elderly) as well as for all health and social-health personnel operating in the region (under pain of prohibition of access to their respective workplaces), recommending it for children between six months and six years of age.
