There have been 13,970 new cases of Coronavirus positivity in France in the last 24 hours, according to the public Santà, which reports a positivity rate always at 7.6%, stable for two days. Since yesterday there have been – among hospitals, nursing homes and institutions for the disabled – another 63 deaths, with the total number of deaths since the beginning of the epidemic exceeding 32,000 (32,019).
The situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in Paris and its suburbs is “very worrying”, where “all alert thresholds have been exceeded in recent hours”: Health Minister Olivier said at a Véran press conference, specifying that “This trend has become so alarming in recent hours. We have decided to wait a few days to see if it is confirmed. If so, on Monday Paris and the banlieue will become ‘high alert zone'”. The eventual passage in this category presupposes, as currently in Marseille, the total closure of bars and restaurants, the prohibition of meetings and parties.
