There has been a further increase in coronavirus infections in Basilicata in the last 24 hours. In fact, 33 swabs tested positive for the virus among those processed yesterday, September 30. Almost all asymptomatic.
The situation that worries the most is that of Venosa, with 11 new positives that are added to the 18 already verified in recent days. Mayor Iovanni, as a precaution, closed schools until October 14.
All the newly infected are isolated and the chain of contacts is rebuilding.
The regional working group announces that on September 30, 939 swabs were tested for the search for Covid-19 contagion, of which 33 were positive.
The positive results found are distributed as follows: 11 people residing in Venosa, one in Sant’Arcangelo, 2 in Marsico Nuovo, 2 in Marsico Vetere, 3 in Sasso di Castalda, one in Matera, one in Pescopagano, one in Viggiano, 2 residents in Campania and there in isolation, one person residing in Melfi, one in Gorgoglione, one in Forenza, 3 people residing in Moliterno, one of whom is domiciled in Brienza, one person residing in Brienza , a person residing in Tramutola, one in Sarconi.
On the same day, the healing of 2 people was recorded, one resident in Potenza and the other resident in the Municipality of Sant’Angelo Le Fratte.
Currently there are 258 positive Lucanians (229 in the last update + 31 positive residents – 2 recoveries from residents) of which 248 are in home isolation.
There are 13 hospitalized in Lucanian hospitals: in Potenza, 7 people, including a recovered one awaiting discharge, are hospitalized in the San Carlo infectious diseases ward; in Matera, 4 people are in the infectious diseases ward (including a recovered one awaiting discharge) and 2 people (including a recovered one still hospitalized) in the intensive care ward of the ‘Madonna delle Grazie’ hospital.

Since the beginning of the health emergency, 73,975 swabs have been analyzed, of which 73,142 were negative.
